MALTA PERMANENT RESIDENCY PROGRAM (MPRP)

Malta has been & remains a highly respected & sought after EU Residency program that grants PR from Day 1 for 5 years & renewable! No Language test, no Residence requirements and ability to add dependent parents, children & grandparents in 1 family application. @Secondpass Global we are now ready to accept applications for MPRP. Summary of key changes (NEW VS OLD) as below:

NEW – MPRP:

• Govt. Bonds investment of EUR250k abolished.
• Property purchase prices increased to EUR350k (EUR270k in South Malta or Gozo) & no change to Rental i.e. EUR12k p.a. (EUR 10k in South Malta or Gozo) for 5 years.
• Govt. Contribution introduced instead of Bonds @EUR58k if one rents & @EUR28k if one buys a property.
• Govt. Admin Fee increased to EUR40k of which 10k to be paid upfront.
• Charity Donation of EUR2k
• Minimum personal net worth of EUR0.5M of which EUR150k should be liquid. No minimum income requirement as before.

OLD – MRVP:

• Investment in government bonds worth EUR 250,000 or other stock/equities listed and trading on the Malta Stock Exchange to be retained for at least five years.
• A property purchase of EUR 320,000 (EUR 270,000 in South Malta or Gozo), OR a property lease of EUR 12,000 per annum (EUR 10,000 in South Malta or Gozo) for 5 years.
• A non-refundable government contribution of EUR 30,000 (of which EUR 5,500 constituted an advance payment of the government administrative fee).
• Minimum personal net worth of EUR0.5M & income of EUR100k p.a.
